Kevin Brewster (Director/Coach)

I’m Kevin 38 from Southampton and I’ve been coaching a wide range of sports full time for the last 16 years in schools in Hampshire and Dorset areas. I have represented Southampton FC and Bournemouth FC Community departments and I was part of starting Eastleigh FC Academy programme working alongside former Bournemouth professional footballer Dan Smith and his brother Wayne. Back in July 2010 I set up Performing Sports while playing Semi professional football for Sholing FC where I have played nearly 500 games until retiring in the Summer 2020.

My Aim when coaching is to support and encourage children of all abilities to develop their fundamental skills used within all sports. And I hope to pass on my experiences and knowledge I have gained through playing sport to give children the same inspiration I had at their age.

My Sporting Achievements:

  • Playing for some great non league football clubs such as Eastleigh FC, Bashley FC, Winchester FC, Gosport Borough FC and finally Sholing FC.

  • Winning 2 FA Vase winners medals with both Winchester City FC (2004) final played at Birmingham FC, St Andrews Stadium and Sholing FC (2014) final played at Wembley.

  • Representing Hampshire County Cricket Club Academy U15’s to U19’s as wicket keeper.

FA level 2 and Multi-skills level 2 coach. I began coaching my son’s football team as a volunteer in September 2018 and fell in love with it, so much so that I have since stepped back from my job to pursue the dream of coaching as a full time career.

I enjoy playing football, cricket and golf. My proudest sporting achievement to date is playing in the National Indoor Cricket Finals at Lords.

I have been coaching since May 2018 and have found it to be a really positive experience. The opportunities I’ve been given since I started working with Performing Sports have been fantastic and thoroughly rewarding.

I really enjoy coaching, working with children of all ages and teaching them both new skills and new sports. It’s a fun environment in which to learn, both for the children we coach and for myself. And with everyone learning and having fun gives me a huge sense of achievement.
