Kevin Brewster (Director/Coach)

I’m Kevin 38 from Southampton and I’ve been coaching a wide range of sports full time for the last 16 years in schools in Hampshire and Dorset areas. I have represented Southampton FC and Bournemouth FC Community departments and I was part of starting Eastleigh FC Academy programme working alongside former Bournemouth professional footballer Dan Smith and his brother Wayne. Back in July 2010 I set up Performing Sports while playing Semi professional football for Sholing FC where I have played nearly 500 games until retiring in the Summer 2020.

My Aim when coaching is to support and encourage children of all abilities to develop their fundamental skills used within all sports. And I hope to pass on my experiences and knowledge I have gained through playing sport to give children the same inspiration I had at their age.

My Sporting Achievements:

  • Playing for some great non league football clubs such as Eastleigh FC, Bashley FC, Winchester FC, Gosport Borough FC and finally Sholing FC.

  • Winning 2 FA Vase winners medals with both Winchester City FC (2004) final played at Birmingham FC, St Andrews Stadium and Sholing FC (2014) final played at Wembley.

  • Representing Hampshire County Cricket Club Academy U15’s to U19’s as wicket keeper.

I'm 27 from Southampton, and I’ve been coaching for the last 10 years. I started off my coaching career alongside playing football at collage. I have work for several different coaching company’s in schools all over the Hampshire area, teaching all ages.  I’m confident in teaching all sports, however my expert sport would be football, which I’ve played semi professional for Eastleigh FC, Romsey town, Whitchurch Utd, Winchester FC and AFC Stoneham. I’ve also coached youth teams from ages 7-16 at Sholing FC, BTC Southampton, Hedge End Youth alongside others. My goal in coaching is to help people develop themselves in all aspects of life, not just physical. I think sport is the perfect way to do that. I’ve been passionate about it my whole life and I hope to pass on what I’ve learned and still learning.

My sporting Achievements:

  • Playing in the Gothia youth World Cup in 2009 and 2010

  • Scoreda goal in the FA Cup

i have been coaching part time for the last 4 years whilst studying sports therapy at Solent university. I have always been a keen sportsman playing a variety of sports growing up. Since starting coaching 4 years ago, I have worked in numerous schools coaching kids at different ages and abilities. When coaching, I strive to supply children with the knowledge and understanding of the key skills and techniques within different sports and aim to deliver fun and engaging sessions.

Sporting Achievements:

I previously played football for both Southampton and Portsmouth academy growing up.

In 2016 I was part of Sholing under 18’s who got through a number of qualifying rounds to reach the first round proper of the FA youth cup.

I have played semi-pro football for Sholing FC and currently First team Captain at Whitchurch United FC.

Joe Humby (Coach)

FA level 2 and Multi-skills level 2 coach. I began coaching my son’s football team as a volunteer in September 2018 and fell in love with it, so much so that I have since stepped back from my job to pursue the dream of coaching as a full time career.

I enjoy playing football, cricket and golf. My proudest sporting achievement to date is playing in the National Indoor Cricket Finals at Lords.

I have been coaching since May 2018 and have found it to be a really positive experience. The opportunities I’ve been given since I started working with Performing Sports have been fantastic and thoroughly rewarding.

I really enjoy coaching, working with children of all ages and teaching them both new skills and new sports. It’s a fun environment in which to learn, both for the children we coach and for myself. And with everyone learning and having fun gives me a huge sense of achievement.
